Looking to cool off but don't want to stray far from home? Here, a happy backyard bather, Junebug Clark, takes matters into his own hands. Junebug told us he was only four in this photo, and that he found a sunny spot for his washtub, dragged over the hose, filled it up, and got in while mom Bernice grabbed her camera. "Every picture tells a story, and there is a story behind every picture," he said. "This one brings back unmatched memories of good times." The son of celebrated photographer Joe Clark, Junebug made a name for himself as a shutterbug, too. At the tender age of five, he joined the staff at the Detroit Times and became the world's youngest press photographer. Junebug would go on to become a U.S. Marine Corps photographer and shoot "pictures that tell a story" for some of the best-known companies and publications in America. His favorite subject? Real people doing real things.
